Standing with Food and Service Workers in Cambodia

The Cambodia Food and Service Workers’ Federation (CFSWF) established in 2007 by workers from food and service sector, CFSWF is a democratic and independent trade union federation representing workers in the food and service sectors across Cambodia.

We represents the workers in restaurants, hospitality, tourism, cleaning,Food industries and other service industries who face low wages, insecure jobs and income, unsafe working conditions, shrinking space to exercise fundamental freedom and limited access to social protection.

Our Vision

A democratic, progressive, just, and peaceful society where food and service workers are empowered to claim, protect, and advance their social, economic, and political rights.

Our union milestones

2007

Born of the Union

Established by the women workers to protect the workers. 1st founding congress of 02nd December 2007 by the women and man workers from Beer Promoter, Restaurant workers, Food workers, and Service Workers. 

2010

Workers National Strike for Wage

In 2010, Garment workers have go on strike nationally to demand for living wages. The Beer Promoter of Angkor go on strike to demand for living wages, Worker’s Right, and the Workers Protection. 

2014

Nationalwide Strike for living wages

The Garment workers have national wide strike to demand for 160USD of minimum wages. The beer promoter, Beer workers, and Service Workers have conduct the strike to demand for living wages. 

2018

A True Version of Women Leadership and Feminist Movement

A Women leadership lead the trade union movement fight for social justice and Gender Justice.

2020

COVID19 IMPACT

COVID19 impact to many workers, specially Entertainment industrial that have completely shutdown. And CFSWF are only one Trade Union that issue statement and act to protect the workers of Entertainment and demand government to provident support.

Restaurant workers stand up for labour right and social Protection

The Women restaurant workers in Phnom Penh have 3 time on strike to demand for labour rights and social protection. they demand government to allow them to access social security and health scheme.

Entertainment workers victory on demand to access social protection

The Cambodia Government have issue the prakas to allow the Entertainment workers include restaurant workers to free access the health equity scheme and register under NSSF. 

2024

FIGHTING FOR MRS and CBA

The CFSWF and it’s affiliation from Beer sector have success on Register Most Representative Statue (MRS) and develop CBA proposal for improved the working condition and Rights to beer workers of Cambrew Ltd.
